Background

The dream started when I was a young boy growing up in India. On one of our summer trips from Bhopal to New Delhi, we passed a poor village with no running water or electricity. I saw something that has been imprinted in my memory ever since. It was in the evening and there was a street light and on the ground were a couple of children studying! What passion and determination these kids had to study, to be something and survive despite odds against them. Somehow I wanted to capture that image which told such a beautiful story. The vision for Lighpost Pictures was born that day.

Despite becoming a medical doctor, my desire to be involved in the film process never left me. I kept dreaming. Later on I took courses in Hollywood, Toronto, Maine and over the years I have been fortunate to work with people who are very talented and passionate about their work.

I hope I will have the opportunity to be part of and contribute to this beautiful and artistic field. There is truly magic in cinema.
